Migration Specialist - Contractor

Kit
$150 - $800Remote

About The Position

Kit is seeking 1-2 Migration Specialists to join their Implementations Team on a part-time contract basis. This role focuses on migrating new Kit customers onto the platform, ensuring a positive and technically sound experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the technical aspects of email marketing, enjoy working with integrations, and be adept at explaining complex details to customers. This position is project-based and ideal for someone comfortable with contract work and managing multiple client projects simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Kit's platform: Visual Automation builder, forms/landing pages, tagging, sequences, and API v4 basics.
  • CSV data handling and subscriber/tag mapping across source platforms.
  • Deliverability fundamentals — domain authentication, send history review, warm-up planning.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with creators, including comfort on Zoom/Loom for walkthroughs.
  • Familiarity with multiple ESP platforms (Kajabi, Beehiiv, ActiveCampaign, Flodesk, Substack, GoHighLevel, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or Infusionsoft/Keap).
  • Comfort working async and asynchronously across a project portal (Arrows), Slack, email.
  • Prior experience with email marketing platform migrations or technical onboarding.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent client projects with individual timelines.
  • Background supporting technically complex accounts (multiple integrations, custom automations, large lists).
  • Experience working directly with creators or small businesses on customer-facing technical work.
  • Comfort with project-based/contract work and invoicing.
  • Proactive communicator — flags unresponsive creators, at-risk timelines, and scope creep early.
  • Detail-oriented — catches mapping errors and scope gaps before they become customer-facing problems.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity across different tech stacks and account complexity levels.
  • Empathetic but maintains professional boundaries with creators — holds deadlines and process while staying warm.
  • Reliable and self-managing, since this is project-based work without close day-to-day supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Migrate new Kit customers onto the platform.
  • Handle CSV imports, form/landing page rebuilds, and automation recreation for standard-complexity accounts.
  • Collaborate with the Implementations Team, Migration Admins, other Migration Specialists, and Customer Support.
  • Dive into the onboarding curriculum and learn about Kit’s product ecosystem.
  • Utilize key tools such as Arrows, Slack, and HubSpot.
  • Review standard migration SOPs and reference documents.
  • Manage multiple concurrent client projects with individual timelines.
  • Support technically complex accounts, including multiple integrations, custom automations, and large lists.
  • Communicate clearly with creators, including conducting walkthroughs via Zoom/Loom.
  • Handle deliverability fundamentals, including domain authentication, send history review, and warm-up planning.
  • Manage project-based work and invoicing.

Benefits

  • 100% independent
  • 100% remote
