To improve student achievement in secondary mathematics by providing intensive, high-dosage instructional and non-instructional support to Migrant Education students under the supervision and guidance of a licensed administrator. The tutor must hold a current teaching license with a mathematics endorsement and will provide evidence-based mathematics intervention and tutoring aligned to student learning needs and district curriculum. The tutor may function in an instructional setting independently, exercising a considerable degree of professional judgment and skill in planning, delivering, and monitoring instruction for secondary students. The tutor also assists in providing a safe, supportive learning environment for students and performs related instructional and communication duties as needed. Some tutoring schedules may extend outside of the regular work day.
