About The Position

We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join a manufacturing production team. The role involves producing quality welds on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum while meeting production and quality standards. The welder sets up and operates equipment, reads blueprints and work instructions, positions parts, performs inspections and basic finishing, and maintains a safe, organized work area. Basic equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and production and quality paperwork are also part of the job.

Requirements

At least 2 years of welding experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong MIG welding experience.
Experience welding steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Ability to read blueprints and understand weld symbols.
Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and metric measurements.
Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
PPE, GHS, and LOTO training required; onsite training is available.

Nice To Haves

TIG welding experience.
Forklift and overhead crane experience; onsite training is available.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate MIG welding equipment and tools.
Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions.
Adjust welding voltage and current according to material and job requirements.
Load, position, and secure parts using fixtures.
Weld parts and assemblies to meet quality and production standards.
Perform welding in various positions, basic layout, and metal finishing.
Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and hand jacks.
Troubleshoot basic welding and equipment issues.
Perform basic equipment maintenance and complete required production and quality paperwork.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
