About The Position

WireCrafters, LLC, established in 1967, is a manufacturer of wire partitions, storage lockers, safety barriers, and other related material handling products. Privately owned, WireCrafters has a reputation in the industry for its commitment to legendary customer service, rewarding work for associates, and producing the very best quality products. Starting pay is $22.50 per hour. Regular quarterly raises from 3 months until top out pay of $32.84 is reached in 2.5 years. 3rd shift hours are 8:15 pm – 6:45 am M-Th (some overtime on Friday).

Requirements

MIG welding experience.
Able to read standard tape measure.
Must be able to read, write and perform basic math calculations.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

Weld metal components together into various size metal panels in accordance with set specifications, tolerances and requirements to produce high quality woven wire products.
Read and interpret standard production drawings and job specifications.
Weld metal components together into various size metal panels.
Prepare all material surfaces to be welded, ensuring there is no loose or thick scale, slag, rust, moisture, grease, or other foreign matter.
Grind off excess weld and/or rough spots using portable grinders.
Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications.
Assure that all materials and supplies are available as needed in order to promote maximum efficiency for each work process and meet set productivity goals each day.
Detect and notify supervisor of faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials.
Maintain clean and orderly work area.
