About The Position

A MIG Welder in a cryogenic manufacturing company is responsible for the high-precision joining of metals, such as stainless steel and aluminum, that must withstand extremely low-temperature environments. Unlike general welding, this role emphasizes structural integrity and leak-proof seals for components used in high-vacuum or liquid gas systems.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older
Ability to stand for long periods
Some lifting is required up to 50 lbs.
TIG Welder with 1 to 5 years of experience
Must be a reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented individual

Nice To Haves

Mechanical experience is a plus
The ability to read technical drawings and blueprints is a plus

Responsibilities

Perform MIG (GMAW) welding on specialized alloys, often focusing on thin-gauge materials and intricate assemblies.
Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and welding procedure specifications (WPS) to ensure every joint meets strict cryogenic standards.
Clean, cut, fit, and assemble metal components for welding.
Set up, operate, and maintain MIG welding machines, torches, and related tools.
Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and aesthetic quality, ensuring compliance with standards (e.g., AWS).
Adhere to all safety procedures, wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean work area.
