About The Position
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Entry-Level MIG Welder to join our team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity ideal for candidates with at least 6 months of welding experience who are looking to grow their skills in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of MIG welding experience required
- Familiarity with various welding tools and equipment
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Basic shop math skills, including converting decimals to fractions
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on a variety of materials and components
- Operate and maintain different types of welding equipment
- Manually guide welding gun along weld lines, maintaining proper arc length and speed
- Ensure proper weld depth and bead quality by monitoring metal color, weld sound, and molten puddle size
- Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards
- Accurately track and report production quantities
- Follow all safety procedures and workplace guidelines
