Welders are expected to perform Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform Mig welding, Aluminum welding, TIG Welding, electric or robotic welding in the fabrication of parts, to be used in the assembly of product lines to create a high quality finished product. Components may be standardized or customized as to design and function. Requirements

  • High school diploma or Certification.
  • Internal written and physical weld test.
  • An understanding of welding fundamentals.
  • Basic welding experience and/or training.
  • Basic knowledge of Mig Welding Equipment.
  • Ability to follow direction and work in a team environment.
  • 1 year of experience in a production welding environment and successful completion of internal weld test (for Welder II).
  • Working towards apprenticeship or certification (for Welder II).
  • Manufacturing experience, including knowledge of manufacturing processes or related experience (for Welder II).
  • Basic knowledge of Mig and Tig Welding Equipment (for Welder II).
  • Crane Certification (for Welder II).
  • 2 years of experience in a production welding environment and successful completion of internal weld test (for Welder III).
  • Experience in root cause problem-solving (5 Why, 8D, PDCA, etc.) (for Welder III).

Responsibilities

  • Comply with the company/site safety rules.
  • Perform safe and effective operation of all equipment needed to perform job function.
  • Flex across different products and areas to support business needs.
  • Provide training to new employees or employees learning new work areas to work instructions/standard work.
  • Follow established procedures, processes, or policies.
  • Interpret and understand engineering drawings and blueprints to accurately execute welding tasks.
  • Assist with robotic welder.
  • Perform Mig welding, Aluminum welding, TIG Welding, electric or robotic welding in the fabrication of parts.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues efficiently.
  • Proficient in operating and maintaining welding equipment and tools.
  • Understand aluminum alloys, their properties, and how they react to different welding processes.
  • Proficient in various aluminum welding processes, such as TIG (GTAW).
  • Weld complex components with MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
  • Operate robotic welder.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
