This role involves welding metal components to form an assembly. The Mig Welder will be responsible for reading part prints, identifying critical features, and understanding weld symbols. They will also set weld parameters on the controller, understand weld equipment assembly, and manage the wire feed system for a weld gun. The position requires identifying weld fixtures that need repair or preventative maintenance, recognizing part quality issues that affect welding, and working effectively in a team setting, including cross-training in a work cell. Adherence to safety rules, regulations, and housekeeping is essential, as is the ability to interpret process sheets for part production. Other duties may be assigned as required.
