About The Position

This is a temp-to-full-time position for a Mig Welder on the 2nd shift. The primary responsibility involves MIG welding T-bar pieces, fabricating and welding using various processes (GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW, SMAW) according to prints and other documents. The role requires the ability to pass visual, bend, and penetrant tests, and to perform fabrication and welding operations in compliance with ASME and company standards. Welders must be proficient in creating quality weld joints with carbon steel, stainless steel, and duplex materials. Additionally, the position requires the ability to read prints, interpret weld symbols, follow work instructions, and communicate in English. Performing liquid penetrant and other non-destructive testing, conducting quality checks, and inspecting materials to ensure product conformance are also key duties. Identifying and reporting non-conforming products according to SOPs is essential.

Requirements

  • Basic math skills required including the ability to read a tape measure.
  • Prior manufacturing experience required.
  • 1 year experience using mig/stick welds and oxyacetylene torches required.
  • Drill press machine or related experience required.
  • Overhead crane experience required.
  • Must be able to perform quality weld joints with carbon steel, stainless steel and duplex materials.
  • Must be able to read prints, interpret weld symbols, read work instructions, and communicate in the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • High School or GED equivalent preferred. Candidates interested in company-sponsored GED program will be considered.
  • Forklift operation certification preferred.
  • Scissor Lift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • MIG welding a piece of T-bar across and downhill.
  • Fabricate and weld using GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW and SMAW processes.

  • Perform quality checks and continuously inspect materials and production to ensure product conformance.
  • Identify and communicate any non-conforming products per SOP or applicable process.
