About The Position
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking for experienced MIG Welder/Fabricator to join one of our manufacturing clients in Phoenix, AZ. This position focuses primarily on stainless steel fabrication and MIG welding. Candidates should have strong welding skills and be able to demonstrate their abilities during a weld test.
Requirements
- 3+ years of MIG welding and metal fabrication experience required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Strong measuring, layout, and fabrication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Stable work history preferred
Nice To Haves
- Experience welding stainless steel is strongly preferred
- Candidates without recent stainless steel experience may still be considered if they can successfully demonstrate proficiency during the required weld test
- Manufacturing or production welding experience
- Experience operating fabrication equipment such as grinders, saws, presses, and shears
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on primarily stainless steel materials
- Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Fabricate and assemble components to specification
- Grind, fit, measure, and prepare materials for welding
- Inspect completed welds for quality and accuracy
- Safely operate fabrication equipment and hand tools
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company safety procedures
