About The Position

The MIG/TIG Welder Level I is responsible for the fabrication and welding of aluminum and stainless steel. This is a 1st shift position, Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., with overtime as needed.

Requirements

Ability to pass weld test
At least 1 year of experience reading a tape measure, identifying, and measuring material
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Candidates must meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of MIG and TIG welding experience in a production environment
At least 1 year of experience using weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances
Forklift certification

Responsibilities

Perform MIG and TIG welds on aluminum and stainless steel in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes.
Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixtures.
Select torch, torch tip, filler ford, and flux according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material.
Perform all necessary maintenance and repair on all equipment used in welding.
