About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for a Midwife in Arlington, TX, working in a hospital setting. The role involves providing full-scope midwifery care, including labor and delivery management, intrapartum care, postpartum care, OB triage, and well-woman gynecologic exams. The coverage period is from February 03, 2027, to May 05, 2027, with 3-7 24-hour shifts per month. The facility has 24-hour in-house OB/GYN support and a Level III NICU. Requirements

Active Texas Medical License
Board Certified
Active Texas DEA
Minimum 2 years full-scope midwifery experience
Minimum 2 years recent first assist experience
First assist experience must be within past 2 years

Responsibilities

Provide full-scope midwifery care including intrapartum, postpartum, and OB triage in a hospital setting
Perform first assist duties during deliveries
Provide postpartum care and well-woman gynecologic exams across the lifespan
Support patients throughout labor and delivery
Collaborate with 24-hour in-house OB/GYN support and Level III NICU team
