About The Position

As a Middleware Engineer, you will support the migration of critical payment processing applications from one data center to another. You will be responsible for middleware platforms that sit between the application and infrastructure layers, ensuring applications continue to operate reliably throughout planning, testing, migration, and post-migration activities. The role combines middleware administration, automation, troubleshooting, documentation, and close collaboration with project managers, infrastructure teams, and application owners.

Nice To Haves

  • Middleware administration experience in Oracle technologies.
  • Knowledge of enterprise application architecture (three-tier architecture).
  • Experience supporting payment, banking, or other high-availability enterprise systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with automation and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support migration of middleware components to new data center environments.
  • Build, configure, test, and validate middleware services.
  • Coordinate migration activities with project managers and technical teams.
  • Resolve technical issues and remove blockers during migration.
  • Manage and support technologies including: Oracle WebLogic, Oracle Service Bus, Oracle Forms & Reports, Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS), Oracle Internet Directory, Oracle APEX, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
  • Perform BAU (Business As Usual) support alongside migration work.
  • Monitor application performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot middleware, integration, and deployment issues.
  • Ensure production stability.
  • Use scripting and automation tools such as: Shell/Bash, PowerShell, Perl, Python, Rundeck, Ansible.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation in Confluence.
  • Document configurations, procedures, migration steps, and operational knowledge.
