About The Position

Holy Trinity School in El Cajon is seeking a passionate, mission-driven teacher to lead a combined 5th and 6th grade classroom, teaching core subjects including religion, math, science, social studies, and English language arts. This is an ideal role for a teacher who wants real ownership of a classroom and the chance to build deep relationships with students across two grade levels. The ideal candidate brings an unwavering commitment to helping every child achieve their God-given potential, using differentiated instruction to meet each student where they are while fostering a strong sense of community between the two grades.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, personalize, and execute lesson plans in assigned content areas.
  • Lead instruction using a rigorous curriculum that inspires intellectual curiosity, reinforces the joy of learning, and enables all students to thrive.
  • Teach all lessons with rigor, joy, and urgency.
  • Engage in an ongoing data-driven cycle of assessment, analysis, and action.
  • Achieve meaningful student achievement and growth results aligned with the school's mission and annual goals.
  • Implement school-wide systems for academics, culture, and character formation.
  • Connect with families through frequent phone calls, emails, conferences, and notes.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with students and parents that drive students to love learning, act with integrity, and make exceptional academic gains.
  • Participate in up to three weeks of summer training before school’s opening.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development.
  • Help students develop a personal relationship with Christ, and work to grow in one’s own relationship with Christ.
