About The Position

This position involves advising the Middle School Student Council, requiring a candidate with successful coaching experience, preferably at the middle school level. The advisor will be responsible for developing student leadership skills, encouraging participation, and fostering a positive school climate. The role requires strong communication, organizational, and teaching skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with administration, staff, parents, and other coaches.

Requirements

Successful coaching experience, preferably at the middle school level.
Meet requirements for a background check and fingerprinting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of best practices in coaching.
Experience working as part of a collaborative team.
Ability to relate to and instruct students in large groups, small groups, and individualized settings.
Ability to work cooperatively with administration and staff.
Ability to encourage student participation in the program.
Effectively utilize classroom discipline strategies while providing positive reinforcement.
Possess strong organizational, motivational, discipline and fundamental teaching skills.
Able to communicate with students, parents, and other coaches.
