Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in science education or related field (biology, chemistry, environmental science, etc.)
- Alignment with Lansing School District's mission and values
Nice To Haves
- Valid Michigan Teacher Certificate with secondary science endorsement (will be required to enroll in program if don't currently possess)
- Previous successful science teaching experience in urban setting
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate passion for and expertise of middle school science content
- Provide world-class instruction in various science content areas to middle school students
- Use data to guide and effectively differentiate instruction
- Learn and grow by incorporating feedback from school leaders, colleagues, students, and professional development sessions
- Build relationships with students and parents to ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment
- Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission
