About The Position

Irving A. Robbins Middle School is seeking a Math Teacher for Grades 7-8 (1.0 FTE) beginning August 2026. The Farmington Public School District is seeking an outstanding educator for the position of Math Teacher. Farmington is a suburban Hartford community with a strong record of educational excellence. Teachers provide effective instruction to ensure that students learn core content knowledge and skills as well as the competencies and dispositions essential for success in college, career readiness, and citizenship. Teachers attend to the development of the whole child and adjust instruction to meet psychological, social and intellectual needs. Working as a vital member of a learning organization, teachers develop relationships with colleagues, parents, and students and work collaboratively to ensure that all children achieve academic and personal growth. Requirements

Must hold or be eligible for a CT State Teaching Certification in Math (029 preferred) or Middle School Education (029, 003).
Specialized training in content area or program being taught (Mathematics).
