About The Position
We are seeking a passionate, student-centered Certified Math Teacher. Requirements
- Valid North Carolina Teaching License in Mathematics
- Strong knowledge of NC Math 1 standards
- Ability to differentiate instruction for varied learning levels
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to North Carolina Standard Course of Study for Math 1 & Math 2, including: Linear, quadratic, and exponential relationships, Functions and modeling, Systems of equations and inequalities, Descriptive statistics, data analysis, and probability, Algebraic reasoning and mathematical justification
- Use multiple instructional strategies (direct instruction, collaborative learning, problem-based learning, and math discourse) to meet diverse student needs
- Regularly assess student understanding using formative and summative assessments
- Analyze data to identify misconceptions and adjust instruction accordingly
- Support students in developing conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and real-world application
- Implement intervention and enrichment strategies as needed
- Maintain a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
- Collaborate with instructional coaches, PLCs, and support staff
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
- Uphold school policies, expectations, and professional responsibilities
