About The Position

We are seeking a reflective, dedicated, and passionate Middle School Math Teacher to serve as an instructional leader in our math classrooms. Partner with SMART Management and BridgePrep Academy of Orange in our mission to deliver a rigorous, inquiry-based academic experience enriched by our strong school culture, hands-on lab investigations, and commitment to STEM excellence. BridgePrep Academy of Orange is part of a collaborative network of 21 charter schools across Florida with active instructional coaching, designated planning support, and ongoing professional development. Teachers will implement high-quality, research-based math curricula, interactive lab experiences, and state-aligned assessments with the backing of a dedicated campus leadership team. The role involves teaching in a joyful, structured middle school environment where high expectations go hand-in-hand with strong student support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited educational institution.
  • Valid or eligible Florida Teaching Certification in Middle Grades General Math (5-9) or Math (6-12).
  • Alignment with SMART Management and BridgePrep Academy’s mission, values, and student-first culture.
  • Successful completion of a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior instructional experience teaching middle school math.
  • Master's Degree in Math Education, STEM, or a related subject area (eligible for salary supplement).

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned daily middle school math lessons.
  • Establish consistent routines and implement schoolwide behavior systems with fidelity, creating a safe, inclusive, and inquisitive learning environment.
  • Differentiate instruction for diverse learners (ESE, 504, ELL, and intervention) by implementing required accommodations and modifications.
  • Actively engage families as true partners in learning through consistent, clear communication regarding student progress.
  • Submit lesson plans, student data, and compliance documentation on time; actively participate in weekly PD, department check-ins, and coaching sessions.

  • Standard Base Salary (Orange County): $51,607.00 – $53,848.00 (Teacher I Degreed to Teacher II–III Certified)
  • 6–12 Math Certification Supplement: Additional $2,000.00 annually
  • Master’s Degree Supplement: Additional $2,500.00 annually
