About The Position

Rocky Mountain Prep (RMP) is a network of schools dedicated to changing public education in Colorado by providing college access for historically marginalized students and families. RMP operates twelve college-preparatory schools serving students from early childhood through twelfth grade. The organization is a learning organization that invests in its educators, offering ongoing coaching, professional development, clear expectations, transparent feedback, and opportunities for career advancement based on PEAK values. RMP emphasizes a culture of rigor and love, aiming to coach, develop, and champion every team member. This specific role is for the 2026/2027 school year, with staff reporting for summer professional development in July 2026 and the school year beginning in August 2026. The Math Interventionist role focuses on accelerating scholar learning rather than remediation, believing all middle school scholars can engage in rigorous mathematical thinking with data-driven support and identity-affirming instruction. Utilizing a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework, Math Interventionists provide targeted Tier II and Tier III support, addressing unfinished learning while keeping scholars connected to grade-level content. Instruction involves whole group, small-group, and individualized settings, with a focus on analyzing real-time data, identifying misconceptions, and designing responsive lessons to enhance conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and mathematical confidence. The approach prioritizes scholar voice, discourse, and productive struggle to foster a sense of self as mathematicians and build resilience. Collaboration with families, classroom teachers, and school leaders is key to ensuring aligned and cohesive support for scholar growth and future opportunities.
