Middle School Inclusion Aide (2026-2027)
About The Position
Match Charter Public School is seeking a Middle School Inclusion Aide for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a 1-1 aide position supporting a female student who is wheelchair bound and requires assistance with physical needs, including bathroom support. The inclusion aide will support the success of students with disabilities by helping implement skills and goals aligned with their educational and therapeutic needs. This role involves supporting students during instructional and non-instructional times, both in and out of the classroom. The Inclusion Aide is a key member of the school team, fostering an inclusive community, promoting skill development and social-emotional growth, and building deep relationships with students to help them reach their academic and personal potential. The position is full-time, based at Match Middle School in Jamaica Plain, MA.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with students with disabilities.
- Prior experience as a health aide or home health aide.
- A deep belief that all students can and will succeed and a willingness to do whatever it takes.
- An incredible amount of patience and willingness to go the extra mile.
- A desire to continually improve their practice as an educator by taking and implementing feedback.
- Demonstrated ability to work well on a team.
- Willingness to support others in doing their best work.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1-1 support to a female student who is wheelchair bound, including assistance with physical needs and bathroom support.
- Support the implementation of skills and goals in line with the student’s educational and therapeutic needs.
- Support students during instructional times both in and out of the classroom.
- Support students during lunch, breaks, and other non-instructional times.
- Develop deep relationships with students.
- Leverage relationships to ensure students receive the support needed to meet their academic and personal potential.
- Foster an inclusive community.
- Support student skill development and social-emotional growth.
