About The Position

LREI (Little Red School House & Elisabeth Irwin High School) seeks educators committed to exploring progressive pedagogy. The school is seeking a humanities teacher for 5th-8th grades for the 2026-2027 school year, beginning September 1st, 2026. LREI seeks a full time Middle School Humanities Teacher to support the progressive integration of language arts and social studies content and skills. The candidate is responsible for teaching both subjects and for planning collaboratively with her/his grade level partner. Each grade level humanities pair seeks out opportunities for team teaching and works with grade level teachers of other disciplines on integrated projects. Candidates will also be asked to serve as an advisor for a group of middle school students.

Nice To Haves

Benefits

  • Salary Range Annual salary of $72,729.47 - $139,606.74 (depending on experience and education) plus benefits.
