About The Position

Kahler Middle School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our athletic department as a Middle School Football Coach for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for the game of football and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for student-athletes. This seasonal position will focus on developing players' skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship while promoting the values of hard work and discipline.

Requirements

• Previous coaching experience, preferably at the middle school or high school level, is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of football fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with other coaches and staff.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to the season).
• Must pass a background check and comply with all school district policies and procedures.
• A passion for working with middle school students and a commitment to their personal and athletic development.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct daily practice sessions that focus on skill development, teamwork, and game strategies.
• Organize and oversee team activities, including practices, games, and team meetings.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive training program that emphasizes physical fitness, technique, and game understanding.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to student-athletes, encouraging personal growth and academic success.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team expectations, schedules, and any concerns.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes during practices and games.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to promote a positive sports culture within the school.
• Monitor and evaluate player performance, providing constructive feedback to enhance development.
• Maintain equipment and facilities in accordance with safety standards and school policies.
