About The Position

Middle School Gifted Education - Math & Science Teacher - Sperreng Middle School First Day: 8/10/2026 Base Teacher's Salary of $48,369 for 2026-2027 School Year Full benefits included Required Missouri Certificate: 5-9 Math & Science; Gifted Ed preferred Job duties include: Curriculum development and delivery of math and science standards. Social emotional and executive functioning instruction and support for highly gifted students. Assessment and reporting of student learning and progress. Possesses strong verbal skills Understands the unique social-emotional needs of gifted learners Demonstrates intellectual curiosity in professional and personal life Communicates an enthusiasm and dedication to learning Has high expectations for student performance Is experienced in providing differentiated, enrichment curriculum for gifted students Can effectively use feedback to structure lessons and increase student understanding Other duties as assigned by supervisors. In addition, upon submission of your application you will be sent and required to complete an Educator Performance Inventory (EPI) assessment, which should take about 45 minutes to an hour to complete. The EPI is a tool that helps assess your strengths, areas for improvement, potential for student growth, cognitive ability, and your teaching skills. The questions are selected at random from a large bank containing a wide range of subjects and scenarios. The results of this assessment are used by the building principals to assist in the screening process and help them determine how your personality and skill set could fill the vacant position. The numeric score given as a result of this assessment will not be shared with candidates as they will not have the materials needed to understand what the results indicate; however, the principals may use the information deduced from the assessment to help guide conversations and professional development should you be hired for this position.
