This role involves coaching individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in football, following the system of play established by the Head Coach. The assistant coach will plan and schedule practice sessions, work with the Head Coach on scheduling and finance, and provide supervision for athletes in various settings including dressing rooms, practices, and travel for away games. Responsibilities also include maintaining attendance and insurance records, promoting good sportsmanship and ethical conduct, and ensuring the safety of the athletic facility. The coach will enforce discipline, recommend equipment purchases, and be responsible for the care and inventory of equipment. Additional duties include managing athlete turn-out forms, securing facilities, excluding athletes with unexcused absences, and submitting various reports to the Activities Director, such as rosters, award lists, transfer student lists, and season scores. The coach will also prepare team rosters and provide duties lists to the manager, and attend all required organizational meetings.
