Kenowa Hills Middle School serves students in grades 6–8 and is committed to ensuring high levels of learning for all students through strong relationships, engaging instruction, and a collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement. As part of Kenowa Hills Public Schools, we believe every student can succeed when provided with rigorous instruction, meaningful support, and a sense of belonging. We are seeking a passionate, student-centered English Language Arts teacher who is committed to helping all students become skilled readers, writers, communicators, and critical thinkers. While this position includes responsibility for grade-level ELA instruction, a significant component of the role involves providing targeted literacy intervention and support to students who are performing below grade level. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of adolescent literacy development and demonstrate expertise in structured literacy practices, intervention strategies, small-group instruction, and data-driven decision making. Candidates with elementary literacy backgrounds, LETRS training, Science of Reading knowledge, reading intervention experience, or experience implementing Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) are strongly encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will embrace Kenowa Hills' commitment to Capturing Kids' Hearts, trauma-informed practices, relationship-centered learning, and collaborative problem-solving to ensure every student experiences academic growth and success.
