In math, the teacher will support Stratford’s rigorous and advanced curriculum, helping students develop strong conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. You will build on the foundation established in earlier grades and guide students through increasingly complex concepts with clarity and precision. The focus is on developing students who can explain their thinking, apply concepts, and approach challenges with confidence and persistence. We value educators who: Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a strong commitment to student learning Plan and deliver instruction aligned to curriculum standards with clear outcomes Maintain high expectations and a structured, well-managed classroom environment Build positive relationships with students while holding them accountable Use strong instructional practices to support skill development and conceptual understanding Teach mathematics with clarity, emphasizing problem-solving and analytical thinking Deliver engineering instruction that is structured, hands-on, and focused on design and application Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to support growth Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to professional teams Communicate clearly and consistently with students, families, and staff Contribute to the broader school community through advisory, activities, and school events Foster an inclusive and respectful classroom environment for all students Our middle school teachers are passionate, engaging, and innovative, and our students are motivated, inquisitive, and eager to grow.
