About The Position

This position is for a Middle School ELA Teacher focused on supporting Title I students. The primary goal is to analyze assessment data and provide real-time, research-based interventions, both push-in and pull-out, in core curricular areas for students identified as below grade level. This role involves working with various assessment instruments, including NWEA, to inform instructional strategies and support student progress.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of best practice instructional strategies.
  • Ability to model intervention strategies.

  • Understanding of Title I law and district policy.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, organize, and interpret assessment data on Title I identified students.
  • Utilize best practice instructional strategies and research-based intervention curriculum materials to meet the learning needs of identified Title I students.
  • Model the use of intervention strategies for general and special education teachers.
  • Analyze existing student achievement data and administer student assessment and progress monitoring instruments.
  • Serve on the building level MTSS team and participate in weekly MTSS meetings and DIBELS data analysis meetings.
  • Provide leadership for MTSS and DIBELS meetings in collaboration with the building administrator.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, building administrator, and parents when designing MTSS interventions.
  • Maintain accurate student records, parent communications records, and student progress data reports as required by Title I law and district policy.
  • Attend professional development opportunities to improve instructional strategies and support the intervention program.
  • Follow district guidelines and policies.
  • Maintain proper professional conduct.
  • Keep in confidence all personal, student, or personnel records and information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Administrator.
