About The Position

To support the Middle School Principal in the daily operations and activities within the school building, the vision for instructional leadership and student management. This individual works closely with the school staff and administration to support student achievement and overall school improvement.

Requirements

Prior experience as a successful teacher, dean or licensed administrator.
Current Oregon administrative or teaching license with TSPC.
Ability to read English and comprehend complex technical language.
Ability to write memos, reports, and correspondence in English.
Ability to effectively present information in one-to-one and small group situations.
Ability to perform advanced mathematical calculations with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions in English.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to work collaboratively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisor(s), staff, students, parents, and community.

Responsibilities

Support development and implementation of the building school improvement plan.
Support the development and implementation of strategic plans and action plans for school improvement.
Facilitate articulation with high school and elementary feeder schools.
Possess a collaborative and solution-oriented leadership model.
Help implement shared decision-making at the school.
Model inclusive leadership with a missionary mindset.
Identify, gather, and interpret data for the purpose of student intervention and support.
Participate/lead in team building, group process and professional development.
Support management of school behavior, intervention and discipline.
Support the building safety team to ensure the school is in compliance.
Other duties as assigned.
