Middle School Cross Country Coach
About The Position
The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District is seeking Middle School Cross Country Coaches for the 2026 season, which runs from September 8 through October 27th, 2026. Practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at Beaverton School District middle school campuses, with meets taking place at BSD campuses and the THPRD HMT Complex. This role involves coaching youth and requires individuals who love working with people of all ages and abilities, can work both indoors and outdoors, and are at least 16 years of age. There are different instructor levels with varying experience and age requirements.
Requirements
- Must love working with people of all ages and abilities.
- Must be able to work inside and outside.
- Must be at least 16 years of age (for Instructor I).
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in leading and instructing general classes (for Instructor II).
- Must have over 1 year of experience and specialized training in the assigned program area (for Instructor III).
- Must be 18 years of age (for Instructor III).
- Must have a valid driver's license (for Instructor III).
Responsibilities
- Coaching youth in cross country.
- Leading practices on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
- Coaching at meets held on select dates.
- Potentially working additional hours through other coaching opportunities within the district.
