About The Position

Abraham Joshua Heschel School is seeking a full time Middle School Assistant Judaic Studies Teacher for grades 6-8. The Assistant Judaic Studies Teacher will support the teaching and learning of Chumash, Torah She'be'al Peh and Ivrit, as well as daily Tefillah; and will play an active role in planning and executing special programming. The position is an excellent opportunity for someone to gain valuable professional training and experience in formal Jewish education. Our Judaic Studies education is text based and values oriented. We balance formal and creative approaches and integrate the learning of text skills with themes of individual, Jewish communal and universal identity; Jewish beliefs and practices; Jewish history; and human nature. Applicants are expected to be passionate about Judaism and about fostering the connection between a diverse student body and our sacred texts and traditions. Benefits

  • Full-time equivalent salary range is $55,000 - $60,000, depending on years of experience
