About The Position

The coaching position at Grace Church School is a part-time role, compensated hourly between $55-70/hr. The Grace Athletics Department is composed of dedicated coaches who develop, plan, and implement the growing sports curriculum. They focus on creating programs where Middle and Upper School coaches collaborate closely to ensure all necessary skills are covered and student-athlete needs are met. The primary role of a Grace coach is to instruct student-athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training to achieve individual and team success. Concurrently, coaches are expected to instill a foundation of integrity, pride in accomplishment, sportsmanship, self-discipline, goal setting, teamwork, and self-confidence.

Requirements

Relevant coaching experience
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work well with student-athletes, parents, faculty/staff, and the athletics department
Current First Aid/CPR certification, or ability to get training before the season commences
Knowledge of the rules and regulations of the sport, with special consideration given to those having experience with the desired age category
Enthusiasm, commitment, patience, and a passion for teaching the game are essential to this position
Ability to motivate and provide positive leadership to our student-athletes by following our school and athletic mission
