About The Position

Argent Financial Group is an independent fiduciary wealth management firm managing over $165 billion in client assets. We provide trust, estate planning, investment management, retirement plan consulting, ESOPs, mineral management, and other specialized financial services. Our Middle Office team is small, works closely with Trust Operations and the Front Office, and has a direct hand in how we serve clients across the firm. We're looking for an experienced operations professional to join our Middle Office team. You’ll combine hands-on work like quality control, process improvement, and account reviews with day-to-day guidance for administrative staff and front office colleagues. This is the person people come to with questions about account setup, regulatory requirements, or how to work through an operational issue.

Requirements

  • A strong candidate might bring some combination of trust operations, RIA or brokerage operations, custody, investment operations, or general account administration experience.
  • Trust Administrator or Trust Operations Specialist
  • Trust Administrative Assistant or Trust Paralegal
  • Relationship Manager Assistant
  • Operations Coordinator or Specialist at an RIA, bank, or brokerage
  • Investment Operations or Account Services Analyst
  • A few years in trust operations, RIA operations, account services, or a related financial services role
  • Hands-on work with account administration, documentation, or operational quality control
  • Familiarity with a trust or portfolio accounting system (FIS Addvantage a plus)
  • Comfort with data entry, account coding, and transaction processing
  • Exposure to account structures like trusts, IRAs, or agency accounts — or a willingness to learn them
  • Strong attention to detail with solid analytical and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable in business software platforms
  • Comfortable working across departments while managing your own responsibilities

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with a trust or portfolio accounting system (FIS Addvantage a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Help administrative staff learn account setup, system workflows, and best practices
  • Spot process gaps and operational risks, and work with leadership on fixes
  • Perform quality-control reviews on new accounts for accurate setup, coding, and documentation
  • Serve as a liaison between Operations, Compliance, Administration, and Front Office
  • Help onboard newly acquired offices and new hires
  • Document and update procedures as workflows and best practices evolve
  • Recommend process improvements that don't sacrifice compliance or accuracy
