About The Position

Alliance Bernstein Middle Office (ABMO) serves as the primary operational liaison for all AB Trading Desks. The team is responsible for overseeing trades within the relevant order management systems, ensuring they are processed correctly downstream. In the event of any issues, ABMO coordinates solutions with Trading, Compliance, and both internal and external parties to achieve resolution. Additionally, the team manages trade confirmations with brokers and clearers, collateral processing, and the settlements process. The Middle Office Analyst is a key role for our firm, performing various trade support tasks, including trade allocations, rebooking, and confirmation. The analyst will also serve as an escalation contact for any trade settlement issues that arise post-confirmation. The individual will be expected to work as part of a global team and must communicate effectively with various internal and external clients. The Trade Support team services all AB Trading Desks. Daily tasks involve using Longview (LVTS), Minerva, SFCM, TES, Perform, and Microsoft Office; internal applications such as Apex, Portfolio Management System, ACE, and GO; and multiple vendor systems including Bloomberg. This team provides product support for Fixed Income, Equities, Futures, Foreign Exchange, Repurchase Agreements, Collateral, and Private Placements. The individual will acquire extensive knowledge of the diverse range of products offered by Alliance Bernstein and develop an understanding of the distinctions among them. This role involves direct communication with the front office, which plays a crucial role in the firm's performance and success. As a demanding and rewarding position, it offers the candidate a comprehensive global perspective on the role of Investment Managers. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting or another relevant discipline.
  • Experience in Trade Support and working with a team environment with time sensitive deadlines is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Allocate trades across all products in the relevant order management systems.
  • Collaborate with traders to ensure accurate entry of trade details.
  • Coordinate with brokers to ensure trade settlement.
  • Rebook trades due to discrepancies in commission, fees, broker, etc.
  • Ensure proper handling of all settlement issues.
  • Resolve claims issued by brokers and custodians.
  • Monitor and resolve failed trades.
  • Oversight of offshore confirmation and settlement teams
