About The Position

The Middle Market Treasury Management Officer will demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of deposit products and services, focusing on targeting, acquiring, and managing operating businesses with annual revenues between $10MM to $500MM. This segment includes Public Sector, Government, Non-Profit, and Operating Businesses. The role involves demonstrating deposit products and services to potential and existing customers, providing sales support, and assisting with treasury management services like lockbox, sweep accounts, and merchant services. Responsibilities include analyzing customer cash flows, profitability, and account penetration, providing status reports to relationship managers, and maintaining a profitable portfolio of Analysis customers. This individual will also drive new business acquisition in conjunction with the Middle Market lending team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ten years of Treasury Management sales experience.
  • Ability to open customer accounts using Bank sales new accounts software.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced work environments and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of financial products, banking, and treasury management services.
  • Analytical skills to assess clients' financial needs and propose suitable solutions.
  • Sales acumen with the ability to identify opportunities for treasury management products.
  • Ability to work closely with corporate banking teams and other financial professionals to deliver customized solutions that enhance business performance and ensure sound financial practices.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with middle-market clients, understanding their financial needs and tailoring treasury solutions accordingly.
  • Identify new business opportunities by cross-selling treasury products and services to existing clients or prospecting new clients.
  • Implement and support a range of treasury solutions such as payment processing, cash concentration, fraud prevention, and account reconciliation tools.
  • Assist clients in mitigating financial risks, including interest rate, foreign exchange, and credit risks, using appropriate hedging instruments.
  • Provide advisory services to clients on optimizing their cash flow, improving liquidity, and leveraging treasury products to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Offer expert advice on cash management optimization and financial solutions that cater specifically to the challenges faced by middle market businesses.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and prepare accurate reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Middle Market Relationship Managers and leadership team to acquire, expand, and retain prospects and customers in this segment throughout the bank’s footprint.
  • Build out a Business Development team of Treasury Management Officers for the Middle Market segment.
  • Demonstrate a high level of cash flow analysis to identify opportunities to increase efficiency and profitability for their customers.
  • Cover entire Bank footprint and travel as needed.
  • Work closely with the Director of Treasury Management, Treasury Management Product Delivery Manager and Product Manager to review product suite and recommend future enhancements.
  • Participate in Treasury Management vendor selection and due diligence.
  • Understands and follows operating procedures for all business products.
  • Provides professional sales support to all Bank areas involved with business services products.
  • Analyzes business customer needs to determine competitive strategies for treasury management services.
  • Recommends changes to facilitate customer services while increasing profitability.
  • Maintains a professional appearance at all times before customers.
  • Opens new business accounts when necessary to prepare and provides deposit services proposals.
  • Drives to various business locations when calling upon customers.
  • Provides training for staff and customers as necessary.
  • Prepares and provides in depth deposit services proposals to prospective customers.
  • Demonstrates products and services to business customers, such as treasury management, on-line banking via the Internet, lockbox services and sweep accounts.
  • Maintains a current understanding of state and federal regulations including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC), Customer Identification Policy (CIP), National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA), Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), Non-public Personal Information (NPPI) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act regulations as related to Business Associate Agreements.
  • Participates in product development and conversions as necessary.
  • Assists in product and price comparisons with competition.
  • Assists with sales promotions.
  • Submits to supervisor monthly activity and pipeline reports regarding sales performance.
  • Works with relationship managers and branch managers to identify and resolve questionable transactions.
