About The Position

The Middle Market Credit Delivery Analysts apply basic understanding of finance and accounting, commercial banking products/services, and credit-oriented analysis in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. With oversight from more senior teammates, Analysts facilitate financial analysis, risk assessment, compliance tracking, and portfolio management. Supports projects in coordination with assigned leader and teammates. Begins to develop skills necessary for prudent underwriting and effective credit and risk administration with particular emphasis on adherence to credit policy and requirements. Learns how to navigate internal systems, policies, and procedures necessary to support LOB goals for new business execution and existing client management/retention. Supplements analysis with external research and validation from a wide variety of sources to develop an assessment of client, competitor, market and industry risks and trends. Credit Delivery Analysts typically support Associates, VP, and SVP-level teammates and gradually complete tasks with oversight while building foundational skills in most facets of underwriting and portfolio management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 0-1+ years of related financial services work experience
  • Solid analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Competitive drive and high work ethic, self-starter, team-oriented
  • Solid interpersonal skills
  • High level of adaptability and flexibility with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Solid understanding of business, finance, and accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated work experience in finance or related field

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed financial analysis of borrower financial statements, projections, cash flow, leverage, liquidity, and repayment capacity.
  • Assess industry trends, business models, competitive dynamics, and key risks impacting borrower performance.
  • Prepare credit memoranda presenting transaction structure, risk assessment, mitigants, and clear credit recommendations.
  • Conduct periodic financial reviews, covenant testing, risk rating updates, and borrower performance assessments.
  • Respond to internal and external information requests related to portfolio accounts and credit transactions.
  • Produce portfolio monitoring reports, stress tests, risk dashboards, and credit exposure analyses.
  • Assist with ad hoc analyses relating to portfolio trends, industry concentrations, and credit quality metrics.
  • Maintain data accuracy across credit systems and reporting tools.
