Middle/High School Tutor
About The Position
Huntington Learning Centers have been helping students succeed in school for nearly 50 years. Our customized programs support students with closing the COVID gap, reaching goal SAT/ACT test scores, and moving to the front of the class academically. We offer programs in reading, phonics, and writing; math and sciences; comprehensive test prep; as well as IEP, ADHD, and study skills support. We are looking for talented professionals experienced with grades 6-12 that will help students achieve self-confidence, motivation, and academic success. After a paid training period to learn our methods, you will spend your time teaching and making a difference in children’s lives. We provide the curriculum and develop individualized programs for each student.
Requirements
- Experience with grades 6-12.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university required.
- Expertise in Reading, Writing, English, Math, and/or Sciences.
Nice To Haves
- Certification/license as well as ACT/SAT experience a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Work with students in a 1 to 1 setting, or across a small group up to 4.
- Focus on classroom skill development, subject tutoring, and test prep.
- Teaching takes place in the center.
