About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy (www.rcahybrid.org) is seeking a part-time Elementary Teacher to teach in a classical and Catholic classroom for up to 14 hours per week at our center in St. Leo, Florida. Classes may include Math, Religion, and Science. No formal teaching experience or certification is required, as training will be provided. The ideal applicant may have experience in homeschooling, parish ministry, teaching Religious Education or Catechism, or teaching in a classical or private school. Regina Caeli Academy is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition, offering instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. Positions are hourly, and childcare/nursery is provided. No additional vacation days are given, though accommodations are made for sick days as needed. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and demonstrate a deep love for the Catholic faith. Curriculum and grading guidelines will be provided, and tutors will be trained to meet RCA standards for instruction and classroom management. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, good organization, punctuality, a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship, and must be actively living the Catholic faith, including having received all appropriate sacraments. All staff must complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training before teaching.
