About The Position

Miriam is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Middle/High School Psychologist or Counselor to advance and uphold the Miriam School and Learning Center's mission passionately through direct and indirect services to students. This role coordinates with the Miriam faculty, staff, and administrators to support students' social-emotional, psychological, adaptive-skill, and academic progress. The ideal candidate must be innovative, a self-starter, and open-minded with a strong background in supporting adolescents in partnership with parents, teachers, administrators, and others.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Counseling, School/Educational Psychology, or Master’s in Social Work (MSW).
  • Minimum of three years of experience working with students with learning disabilities, ADHD, or other complex learning needs within a school setting.
  • Professional licensure (e.g., L.P.C., LCSW) and/or Missouri DESE certification.
  • Ability to monitor student progress through data.
  • Broad base of knowledge in the area(s) of child/adolescent development and social-emotional needs.
  • Demonstrates a passion and ability in supporting high school students while maintaining appropriate levels of confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates passion and commitment to the mission of Miriam School and Learning Center.
