About The Position

We are seeking a skillful and dedicated Middle / High School Math Teacher to join our STEM faculty at BridgePrep Academy Doral. Partner with us in our mission to provide all students with a rigorous, problem-solving academic experience. In this role, you will leverage educational best practices to make complex mathematical concepts accessible, inclusive, and engaging, while supporting the logical and social-emotional development of our students.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution.
Active Florida State Teaching Certification in Mathematics (Grades 5-9 or 6-12).
Solid understanding of secondary mathematics curriculum and instruction, strong classroom management for middle/high school dynamics, organizational aptitude, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Successful completion of a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Nice To Haves

Prior instructional experience teaching middle or high school math.
Master's Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (eligible for salary supplement).
Familiarity with Florida B.E.S.T. standards, FAST/EOC exam frameworks, and effective educational technology tools.

Responsibilities

Plan, internalize, and facilitate standards-aligned, engaging math lessons (ranging from foundational middle school math to high school algebra/geometry) based on our curriculum vision.
Adapt lessons to cater to diverse learning styles, implement algebraic and geometric conceptual modeling, and host necessary tutoring sessions to close learning gaps.
Implement formal and informal assessments, analyze student performance data weekly to pivot instruction, and keep the gradebook updated.
Implement and uphold BridgePrep’s behavior management system with fidelity to build character and a productive classroom community.
Establish cooperative relationships with families based on trust and respect, providing clear updates on student progress every week.
Dedicate 40+ hours per week at school, actively participating in department meetings, check-ins, professional development, and before/after-school duties.
