About The Position

Indian Creek School is seeking a Middle and Upper School Mathematics Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time position for an independent, co-ed day school with approximately 600 students aged 3 to Grade 12. The school is located on a beautiful, 114-acre campus in Crownsville, Maryland. Requirements

Ability to teach multiple levels of math, including Geometry and Algebra 1
Desire to be actively engaged in the work of innovative teaching, diversity and inclusion, and ongoing professional growth.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (Master’s preferred)

Responsibilities

Serve as a member of the collaborative Middle and Upper School faculty, teaching four sections of mathematics, including Geometry and Algebra 1.
Show interest in knowing, caring for, challenging, and supporting students as individuals.
Plan and implement effective lessons and units.
Use a variety of assessments to measure and respond to student learning and engagement.
Integrate technology, such as Desmos STAR, to assess and build students’ understanding of math concepts.
Use ICS technology systems, including the School’s Learning Management System, to provide students with course materials and feedback.
Team with the math department in designing curriculum and elevating student confidence and performance in mathematics.
Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff members.
Work with the Upper School Principal, Middle School Principal and faculty to ensure high-quality education and an engaging experience for students.
Write student reports as required.
Serve as an academic advisor to a group of students.
Attend all divisional, departmental, and school faculty meetings, including professional development days.
