About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Mid Technical Editor (O&M) to support an Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), Intelligence Cycle Management Directorate (N2) contract in Suitland, MD. This role involves reviewing intelligence products for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to publication standards. The editor will ensure proper grammar, punctuation, syntax, logic, and consistency, as well as conformity to agency style guides and specialized vocabulary. Responsibilities include amending tables, tone boxes, and graphics to align with text, and ensuring correct classification markings per IC guidance. The editor will also collaborate with authors to revise products for narrative organization and negotiate further revisions as needed.

Requirements

Must possess a current U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI).
Must be able to obtain a polygraph.
Bachelors degree and 8 years demonstrated experience.
Active Top Secret Clearance.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in one of the social sciences, criminal justice, national security, or a related field.
Eight (8) or more years demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities

Reviews intelligence products for proper grammar, punctuation, and syntax, as well as for logic, clarity, and consistency.
Ensures that style and format conform to agency publication standards and that language presentation is consistent with prescribed style guides and specialized vocabulary of subject matter fields.
Amends draft tables, tone boxes, and graphics to ensure the content supports and is consistent with the accompanying text.
Ensures proper classification markings in accordance with IC guidance.
Works with authors to revise products for narrative organization, and negotiates further revisions as needed.
