About The Position

Belay Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer (SE2) to be the primary responsible SE to support the Security organization. This role involves performing SE duties for classified and unclassified network devices and systems, and is responsible for maintaining the associated SSP's, doing monthly scanning and patching. Most of the work is done in Linux, but some experience with Windows is desired as well.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
  • Fourteen (14) years’ experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • At least six (6) years of the following: QA, CM
  • Manage requirements and requirements process
  • Applying risk mgmt principles
  • System test programs
  • Troubleshooting, monitoring
  • Scripting bash/python
  • System architecture
  • UNIX, Linux, Windows
  • MS Office
  • Linux systems administration experience - must be comfortable with command line, troubleshooting
  • Windows Server
  • Virtualization - VMWare
  • SSP Support - scanning, patching, keeping documentation up to date and support ATO activates

Nice To Haves

  • Puppet Experience, or able to learn quickly
  • OrchidCore/OrchidFusion - understanding bandwidth, resolution, troubleshooting
  • AWS or Cloud experience
