About The Position

Century–Airport Pediatrics is seeking a skilled and compassionate Mid-Level Provider to join their pediatric practice. This role focuses on providing high-quality care to children from birth through age 18. Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner (NP): Bachelor of Science and master’s degree in nursing (PNP or FNP)
  • Physician Assistant (PA): Bachelor of Science (prior to 2020) or a master’s degree in physician assistant studies
  • A current NYS License and Board Certification
  • Comfort caring for children of all ages (newborn–18 years)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • EHR proficiency
  • Reliability, organization, and calm under pressure
  • A commitment to confidentiality and teamwork
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and common safety hazards and precautions, OSHA, knowledge of computers and EHR systems.
  • Ability to maintain excellent communication skills, confidentiality, and work well with children of all ages, and their parents/legal guardians.

Responsibilities

  • Provide health maintenance care, including well-child and sick-child exams.
  • Manage routine developmental screenings.
  • Provide diagnosis and treatments for common childhood illnesses.
  • Teach and counsel children and their families on issues related to health.
  • Perform selected administrative duties and assist physicians as part of the clinical team.
  • Provide accurate and prompt documentation for all patients.
  • Maintain information of patient handouts and assist with office newsletter as appropriate.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Manage caseload as assigned by physician or practice manager.
  • Provide courteous and professional service to patients and their families.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other related work as required by their supervisor.
