About The Position

The Boeing Company’s Metrology and Test Equipment Services (MATES) organization is seeking an experienced and motivated Metrology Engineer to support operations at its El Segundo and Huntington Beach, California sites. The role works with local and virtual MATES personnel and initially focuses heavily on supporting Space & Launch programs across El Segundo. It provides onsite calibration solutions, reliability analysis assessments for measurement and test equipment (M&TE), and engagement with local business partners to expand standardized processes and best practices across MATES while ensuring AS9100 compliance. MATES provides test asset and metrology services throughout the product lifecycle, including calibration and certification of electrical/electronic, RF/microwave, mechanical/physical, dimensional, and optical measurement and test assets; sourcing management; measurement solutions; repair and maintenance; test asset selection, acquisition, allocation, and lifecycle management; and specialized test services. Applied metrology at Boeing maintains traceability from the point of application to internationally recognized standards and ensures measurement standards, materials, and equipment are defined, repeatable, reproducible, and traceable. The position is primarily first shift, though periodic shift changes may be required to support program objectives. The successful candidate must meet U.S. export control requirements as a U.S. Person, satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process, and be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance is required after starting. Boeing will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Relocation is available subject to candidate eligibility.
