Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
  • 5+ years of fundraising experience with demonstrated achievement managing a portfolio of individual donors.
  • Experience leading a team.
  • Strong functional experience with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge or similar donor database.

Responsibilities

  • In addition to leading a team of mid-level gift officers, this role will carry a dynamic portfolio of donors and prospects, drive revenue, set strategy, and create culture for a high-performing mid-level program.
  • Partnering closely with the Annual Giving Director and Foundation partners, this position will drive growth withing the mid-level donor pool through targeted fundraising strategies, portfolio optimization, and donor centric engagement.
  • Demonstrate strong frontline fundraising instincts, comfort with data segmentation strategy, and a desire to build a leading program within a collaborative and mission-driven team.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio and broader donor pool of mid-level donors with clear revenue and activity goals.
  • Develop and execute individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans designed to increase retention, upgrade giving, and identify major gift potential.
  • Collaborate with support team leaders to design and refine mid-level giving strategy, including segmentation, prospect identification and qualification, and donor journey map.
  • Participate in development leadership conversations to ensure mid-level giving workflows and expectations are clearly communicated. This includes maintaining a strong understanding of the organization’s operation outcomes, campaign milestones, and mission fulfillment to translate into impactful donor conversations.
