Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) is looking for a Mid-Level Electrical Design Engineer to support the Environmental Test Design Engineering team in Berkeley, MO. Electrical Design Engineers on the team design electrical interfaces/connections and support fabrication/installation of test articles and fixtures. Design work includes developing and specifying connections between test articles/aircraft subsystems and control hardware, required power supplies, facility controls, infrastructure (can include supplied pressure, heating/cooling, power, hydraulics, etc.), and any electrical hardware required in between, such as terminal blocks, break-out boxes, and other hardware simulators. Additional responsibilities can include electrical design support for instrumentation and data system connections. Support during fabrication, installation/connection, and check-out are required to deliver a fully ready-for-test configuration. The primary focus of this position is to support St. Louis Environmental Lab testing for local Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) programs. Test capabilities within the Environmental labs include vibrational/structural dynamics, acoustic, airflow systems, fuel flow systems, high temperature flow impingement, and environmental control chambers, where temperature, humidity, and pressure are varied.
