About The Position

This position is responsible for creating and implementing short- and long-term strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual mid-level donors. It oversees a variety of mid-level donor activities and communications to maximize the organization's resources effectively and efficiently, while providing appropriate avenues for engaging and recruiting new donors. The role also creates strategies to increase identified and potential donor support, prepares analysis of fundraising activities for the development of cultivation and solicitation strategies, and implements strategies to elevate mid-level donors to major donor status, ensuring the donor database management system is used to its full potential for donor cultivation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, marketing, communication, liberal arts, or related field.
  • Three years progressively responsible experience demonstrating a record of accomplishment in donor development, donor support or related.
  • Prior donor management and donor database experience.
  • Ability to meet attendance requirements.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language effectively.
  • Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines and time constraints.
  • Ability and willingness to conduct all duties in accordance with the ministry of the organization and its Christian principles.
  • Conducts all communications and job duties with the highest level of professionalism.
  • Valid State Drivers License.

Responsibilities

  • Implements stewardship and touch point strategies for a caseload of mid-level donors.
  • Manages and implements donor recognition benefits and provides unique engagement and cultivation opportunities for mid-level donors.
  • Executes strategically by building audiences through the gathering of state from the donor database to assess prospects, create prospect lists, and coordinate prospect review.
  • Works closely with the immediate supervisor to implement strategies that support on-going mid-level donor work.
  • Ensures that donor cultivation opportunities are maximized, and that record keeping is integrated into the donor database system; provides advice and technical assistance as needed.
  • Enters donor data for assigned donor portfolio, including donor contact, gift, communication and Moves Management planning information into Interchange.
  • Implements communications plan for mid-level donors to steward them toward continued and increased giving.
  • Assists with and maintains Interchange (Territorial Donor Management System).
  • Coordinates constituent updates and additions in the database, performs troubleshooting, merges duplicate records, corrects data entry errors, and ensures accurate input of mid-level donor data.
  • Serves as Area Command contact for mid-level donor data in Interchange, creating, enabling, resetting, and removing user accounts and roles within the system.
  • Conducts research on prospects including individuals, corporations, and foundations for use in mid-level donor identification and cultivation for the purpose of supporting various projects as needed throughout the Area Command.
  • Prepares monthly reports illustrating progress, maintains and manages accurate donor records in a timely and efficient manner.
