About The Position

Management Solutions is seeking a Mid-Level Business Analyst to support delivery of mission-critical services within a federal IT environment. This role focuses on data analysis, reporting, and process improvement, supporting project governance, performance tracking, and strategic initiatives. The Business Analyst will work closely with project controllers, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure accurate data capture, develop automated reporting solutions, and provide actionable insights to support program execution and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related discipline), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3–6 years of relevant professional experience in business analysis, data analysis, project support, or similar roles.
  • Experience developing dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar platforms.
  • Experience working with data sets, including data validation, transformation, and analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Experience supporting project tracking, reporting, or PMO-related activities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience documenting processes, requirements, or workflows.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Q clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal contract and/or security clearance requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting federal agencies.
  • Familiarity with federal cybersecurity and IT governance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP).
  • Experience supporting IT or cybersecurity operations programs.
  • Prior experience in a consulting or professional services environment.
  • Possessing an active Q, L, or Top Secret clearance is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance automated project tracking and reporting tools, including dashboards, reports, and data flows.
  • Design and deliver data visualizations and reporting artifacts to support program performance tracking and decision-making.
  • Analyze project and program data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support development and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cybersecurity posture and operational effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and customers to define and validate project requirements.
  • Track and report project status across all phases of the Project Development Lifecycle.
  • Ensure alignment of project activities with client strategic goals.
  • Support development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies based on data analysis and program insights.
  • Maintain and enhance IT and Cybersecurity governance processes and related documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting processes, and workflow efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with project controllers to ensure all required data elements are accurately captured, standardized, and aligned across systems.
  • Partner with technical teams to understand system outputs, data sources, and performance indicators.
  • Support integration of data from multiple sources into centralized reporting tools and dashboards.
  • Support change control processes by documenting and tracking project scope, schedule, and cost adjustments.
  • Maintain and enhance PMO automated project tracking and reporting tools.
  • Provide dashboards, reports, and periodic briefings to client leadership.
