About The Position

The BC Solutions Architect designs, implements, and ensures the integrity of financial solutions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, with a focus on General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable. The role leads and coordinates teams of functional consultants and advises customers’ finance teams on designing processes from the chart of accounts and dimensions through payables, receivables, and month-end close. The architect also contributes to Western Computer’s BC finance best practices and participates in presales activities. The position involves translating finance requirements into design documents and configuration specifications, guiding implementation teams, planning data migration, coordinating deployments, and overseeing integrations with enterprise applications. It also includes engaging with business and technical stakeholders and delivering workshops, training, and presentations to finance leaders and teams.

Requirements

At least 7 years implementing Business Central or NAV, with a focus on finance.
Strong knowledge of accounting, accounts payable and receivable processes, and month-end close.
Experience leading full-cycle projects and consultant teams.
Clear communication and presales skills.

Responsibilities

Design finance processes in Business Central, including chart of accounts, dimensions, posting groups, and approvals.
Translate finance requirements into design documents and configuration specifications.
Lead and guide functional consultants implementing Business Central solutions, including configuration, customization, and integration with other enterprise systems.
Plan data migration to ensure opening balances and open accounts payable and receivable reconcile at go-live.
Coordinate project teams and timelines, support smooth deployments, and address technical challenges.
Oversee integrations between Business Central and other enterprise applications.
Ensure data integrity and consistency across integrated systems.
Work with business leaders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements.
Run workshops, training sessions, and presentations for CFOs, controllers, and finance teams to communicate solution designs and implementation plans.
Support presales activities and contribute to Business Central finance best practices.
